MNC Animation is proud to announce that the KIKO and Friends TV series entitled KIKO has premiered on Disney XD on 25 May 2020. It airs every Friday at 12 PM (local time) in Indonesia & Thailand, and 1 PM (local time) in Malaysia, Brunei & Philippines.

This milestone is the realization of the Company’s vision to bring Indonesian content to the international market. Through this proud achievement, MNC Animation is not only determined to maintain the quality of its productions, but seeks to further develop other exciting programs for an international audience.

The award-winning animated TV series is set underwater, telling the story of KIKO, a mutated goldfish. The series is not only popular in Indonesia, but has been translated in various languages: English, Spanish, Brazilian and Portuguese. KIKO has been broadcasted in 52 countries last year. With the addition of 4 South East Asian countries besides Indonesia, KIKO is now present in 56 countries, which comprise of 5 SEA countries, Korea, UK, 25 Latin American countries, 10 African countries, and 14 Middle East countries.

First airing in 2016, KIKO has won several awards, including the Panasonic Gobel Award, in the “Best Children’s Program and Animation” category in 2016 and 2019. Additionally, KIKO had also won “Favorite Local Children’s Animation Program” in the Indonesian Television Awards in 2017 and 2018. In 2019, KIKO brought home the title “Best Children’s Programme”, as a regional winner at the Asian Academy Creative Awards, and was also nominated as the “Best 3D Animated Programme” at the Asian Television Awards.
